Delete your Ride or Wheelie account
You can delete your Ride or Wheelie account and the data linked to it, from the game or without it. Uninstalling the game does not delete the account on our server.
From the game
- Open Ride or Wheelie and tap the Settings icon.
- Open the Account tab.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
The account is erased after 30 days. Until then, simply sign back in to cancel.
Without the game
Email privacy@avilostudio.com with the subject "Ride or Wheelie account deletion". We know neither your name nor your email address, so to find your account please give:
- your friend code (8 characters, Friends screen in the game) or, failing that, your nickname;
- if your account is linked, the service used (Google or Apple);
- your phone model and the approximate date you last played.
We may ask for further proof that the account is yours, so nobody can delete another player's account. We confirm your request within one month; erasure then follows the same 30-day delay.
What is erased after the 30 days
- The link to Google or Apple and all sessions (Sign in with Apple access is revoked). Nobody can sign in to the account any more.
- The public profile: nickname and country erased, friend code replaced, friends, friend requests and blocks removed.
- Ghosts and replays of your races.
- Reports you made or that targeted you.
What remains, and why
- Your scores stay in the leaderboards, without nickname or country.
- Progress and game data (level, bikes, parts, challenges, age band, parental controls, fingerprints taken when the guest account was created) are only tied to a random identifier, with no link to you or to a sign-in. Their full erasure is being implemented.
- The coin ledger and proofs of purchase, pseudonymised (no longer linked to a profile), for 10 years: accounting obligations and fraud prevention.
- A salted fingerprint of the Google or Apple identifier, so a re-created account takes over any debt or penalty. Duration being set.
- Recorded inputs of a race penalised for cheating, 2 years at most.
- Database backups, which expire on their own after 14 days at most.
When deletion is refused for now
The game refuses deletion while a purchase is less than 90 days old (the store can still refund it) or while the coin balance is negative after a refund. You can try again after that, or write to us.
